Birth Story and Fresh 48

Without a doubt, some of the greatest honors I have ever received have been to be invited to witness fellow human beings- tiny, perfect, fragile, mesmerizing little people-enter this world. I have been granted the trust and friendship of couples that allow me to allow me to enter their private lives and document what I see unfolding. I quietly, and unobtrusively pick moments, however inconsequential they seem at the time, and weave those scenes into a story that they could not see with their own eyes. I give fathers the opportunity to put down their phones and cameras, and be there to support their partners. I watch people fall in love with their babies, and rekindle love with their partners. There is no greater or more humbling experience than being a fly on the wall for one of the most important days of a person's life. With a rush of emotion, exhaustion, and adrenaline, most moms say that they don't remember much from their delivery. I am on a mission to change that. I want families to sit around the TV for years to come, watching the slideshow that I have created for them looking back on a day that changed their lives forever.

If you think you may be interested in a Birth Story Session or a Fresh 48 session (a day or two after your delivery), let's chat. Finding the right person to photograph your birth is important. You need to find someone who understands you and your partner, is familiar with the process, knows what you want photographed and, perhaps more importantly, do not want photographed. You need to find someone that you share a bond with and someone who can be your advocate if need be. I'd love an opportunity to meet your family and see if I'm "your person" and if not, I hope I can help you find the one who is.

With Birth Story sessions, I am on call for several weeks before and one week after your due date. This requires early booking to ensure my schedule is clear. I highly recommend booking near the beginning of the second trimester to reserve your session.
